Training

The Centre has 10 courses as listed below:

  1. Carpentry and Joinery (C/J)
  2. Building and Construction (B&C)
  3. Motor Vehicle Mechanics (MVM)
  4. Fashion and Design (PD)
  5. Electrical Installation (EI)
  6. Agriculture (AGRIC)
  7. Painting and Decorating (P&D)
  8. Catering and Hotel Management (CHM)
  9. Welding and Metal Fabrication (WMF)
  10. Hair Dressing (HD)

The Centre admits students who have completed senior four for the two years course in National Certificate and are assessed by Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) and those who have completed primary seven are admitted for level 1 and modular courses assessed by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT).

During the training students are also placed for industrial training which a requirement for completing a course.

The Centre currently has an enrolment of 504 students comprising of 64% male and 36% female.

Annual revenue

The Centre’s total annual revenue is about UGX 1.6Bn which is generated from school fees, vehicle and machinery hire, sale of workshop and farm products totaling to about 50% and grants from the Government of Uganda also about 50%.
